Shake Shack is a burger chain in New York City that has become more like an institution – similar to what In n Out Burger is in California. They are located now throughout the city, but the original Shake Shack is located downtown Manhattan in Madison Square Park. It’s a simple, extremely casual, fast-food shop, surrounded with outdoor tables and twinkling lights.
On our recent trip to New York City, I made it a point to finally try these famous burgers. We went late at night, ordered two burgers the way we like them, two orders of fries, and of course, two shakes – one chocolate and on vanilla. The shakes were delicious, the food was good, but the atmosphere was the best part of the whole experience. Not much beats enjoying a greasy flat top burger outside under strings of twinkle lights in New York City.
Be sure to make your way to Shake Shack if you’re in New York City. It’s a must-try!
Great post…I love the food there and don’t even mind the long lines…
