Back in May, we travelled to Amsterdam, Netherlands. In preparation for our trip, I did so much research regarding the best places to eat and drink (as let’s be real – I travel for the food.) One beautiful little café kept coming up on different websites and instagram accounts as a place not-to-be-missed. Scott and I visited twice during our time in Amsterdam. It is my favourite cafe that we found in the city.
My favourite cafe in all of Amsterdam is Pluk Amsterdam.
Pluk Amsterdam is located in a neighbourhood in Amsterdam called De Negen Straatjes (English Translation: The Nine Streets). It’s such a charming area, and I highly recommend a wander, multiple if you can manage, to visit not only Pluk, but all the different retailers, café’s, restaurants and specialty shops that exist here.
Pluk offers a variety of different coffees, smoothies, breakfast and lunch options and baked goodies. Everything we ate, from Eggs Benedict to sandwiches, was delicious, but what really initiated my love affair with Pluk was the ambiance and atmosphere. The entire space looks like it should constantly featured on a magazine cover. All the cakes and fresh fruit are displayed so beautifully, and they also sell various items and trinkets (Plus Collection, Living, Kitchen, etc.), which adds another layer to the whimsy of the café space.
If you’re visiting Amsterdam, you must visit Pluk.

Lovely place! I know at least three folks at my work that have visited or are planning to go to Amsterdam this year. Definitely on my bucket list. (Also, I can’t stop looking at the marble wall clock on one of your photos!)

I love the rustic feel! Iceland is the only European country I’ve been to, but I feel like it’s about time I explore some more.
